William Ray Hatcher, 91 of Bluefield, WV passed away April 15, 2026 at his home. Born September 25, 1934 he was a son of the late William and Blanche Hatcher. William enjoyed trucking, running dozers, farming, attending old antique car shows and sharp 18 wheelers. He loved spending time with Mike Hatcher and friends hauling hay, coal, mulch, wood, or whatever the load may be; it was his adrenaline rush. He was a man of few words, but definitely a man of his word. He especially loved his family, his dear friends, and get togethers for some good food and fellowship. To say the least...W.R. was definitely his three children's' hero. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by is wife, Freda Hatcher; son,Tony A. Hatcher; sister, Betty Hatcher Spangler; and sweet granddaughter, Laura Hatcher. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Mike (Tammy) Hatcher, and Donna (J.R.) Surface; sister, Sharon Hatcher King; grandchildren, Jody Hatcher, Evan Hatcher, Amy (Danny) Rasi, Hanna (Joey) Sparks, Haley (Richelle) Hatcher, and Rose Hatcher; great grandchild, Kyndall Sparks; and sisters in law, Gaye Farley and Patricia Francisco; a host of loving nieces and nephews, and numerous special friends. 

The family will  receive friends Monday, April 20,2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of William's life will begin at 7:00pm with the Reverend John Blessing officiating. The family will have a private graveside service.
