Wilda Louise Shatley, 85 of Princeton, WV passed away at her home on April 25, 2024. Born, November 26, 1938 in Dunn, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Jacob and Nancy Jane Harvey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Wilda was a retired employee of Maidenform with 39 years of service when she began her second career in nursing.

In addition to her parents, Wilda is preceded in death by her son, Billy Sargent, Jr.; daughter, Teresa (Janie) Sargent; sisters, Violet Martin, Maxine Farley, Geneva Wimmer and Elizabeth Betty) Shumate; grandson, Christopher Arthur; husband, Miles S. Shatley; and father to her children, Billy S. Sargent.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Bobby Sargent and wife Cindy and their children, Sarah and Tyler Sargent and Josh Kirk and Kimberly Dunford; daughters, Beverly (Sue) Lewis and her son, Aaron Davis, Nona Arthur, Sandra Lawrence and husband, John and their children, John Jr., Amanda, and Brian; great grandchildren, Lake and Grey Dunford, Parker and Lennox Slade, Nash Lawrence, Santana and Cain Davis, Landin Lawrence and Bentley Lawrence; fur babies, Sassy and Patches and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus for the care and support given to their family.

In keeping with her wishes, Wilda will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12:00PM.
