Virginia R. "Gayle" Williams, age 90, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Peterstown, WV. Born November 30, 1932 in Bland, VA, Gayle was a daughter of the late Hubert G. Richardson and Clara Dillow Richardson. Gayle was always a very kind and loving person. She enjoyed reading and was very strong in her faith. She loved to sew and at times made her own clothing and clothing for Barbie dolls. Gayle loved children and volunteered for Mary's Cradle often, along with many other organizations, because she believed in taking care of other people. She loved to cook and there was never a soul who left her home hungry. Gayle and her husband traveled out West, and during that time they met Roy Rogers which was just one of the many highlights they shared together. Gayle is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James F. "Jim" Williams; one infant son, James David Williams; one sister, Margot Granger; and two brothers, H.G. "Buzz" Richardson and Daniel M. "Danny" Richardson.

Those left to cherish her memory include several nieces and nephews. Gayle had one special niece, Teresa Holston and husband, Wayne, who loved and cared for her unconditionally.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM with Pastor "Butch" Danewood officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
