Shirley Stanton, 93, of Bluefield, WV passed away Tuesday, October 27.

Born in Boissevain, VA, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Ruth Miller Bird. Shirley was a loving mother, homemaker and a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Stanton; one sister, Phyllis Scales; and three brothers, Ellis Bird Jr., Garnett Bird and Reginald Bird. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Musser of Bluefield, WV; her son, David Stanton and his wife Nancy of Jupiter, FL;grandchildren, Jackie Musser and Michael Musser of Columbus, OH; great-granddaughters Brittany Marcinko and Brianna Logan and a great-great-grandson Aden Rojas, all of Columbus.

Due to the pandemic, a small graveside service will be held at 11am, Friday, October 30 at Roselawn Mausoleum with Pastor Brent Brown officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 401 College Avenue, Bluefield, WV 24701.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton.
