Shannon Todd Pennington, age 53 of Rock, WV passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 in Roanoke, VA. Born February 3, 1970, he was a son of the late Charles Henry Pennington, Jr. and Priscilla Lane Dishner. Shannon was a true outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, work on the farm, care for the farm animals, coon hunt, and run heavy equipment. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, softball, and basketball. Shannon was a hard worker and never met a stranger.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Pennington, Sr. and wife Sylvia; maternal grandparents, Luther "Buster" Dishner and Wife Nellie Maiden; infant twins (brother and sister); aunt, Patsy Bicknell and another special aunt, Aretta Dishner.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daugter, Candice Pennington; brothers, Brian Pennington and wife, Sabrina and Greg Pennington; sisters, Charlotte Reynolds and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Kristy, Jayden, and Axel; a cousin in which he considered a sister, Loressa Bouldin and husband Bill; special uncle, Raymond Dishner along with 5 other loving aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Steven, Marcus, Caleb, Ariel, Joshua, Jared, Jacob, Autumn and Hunter.

The family will receive friends at 12:00PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Wesley Chapel on Wright Mountain Road, Rock, WV. Memorial services will begin at 1PM with Blaine Cecil officiating.
