Ronnie Thomas Mullins, 69, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Thursday March 12, 2020 at Carilion Memorial in Roanoke, VA. He was born in McDowell County, WV to the late Wilson Thomas and Viller Pauline Miller Mullins. Ronnie was employed as a diesel mechanic at Worldwide Equipment and retired after 42 years of service. Ronnie was best known for always smiling and making people laugh. He loved to eat and his famous saying when he was deciding on his next meal was "we gotta get some groceries." Ronnie was very proud of his beautiful daughter and his son for his successful racing career. Ronnie's family, including his grandchildren knew how much they were loved by him.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Ann Mullins, 2 biological brothers and 1 brother in law who he referred to as his brother and best friend.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 10 years, Joyce Ann Light Mullins of the residence, one son, Kevin Dwayne Mullins and wife Laura of Denton, NC, one daughter, Sherry Ann Redding and husband Martin of Thomasville, NC, one step daughter, Rebecca Shinault and special companion Chris of Raleigh, NC, and two grandchildren, "Lil' Ronnie" Hartman and Levi Mullins. He is survived by three brothers and six sisters, he is also survived by his favorite pet companion, Fat Cat Jill.
A Celebration of Ronnie's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
