Roger Houston Compton, of Bluefield, West Virginia, suddenly met the Lord on January 30th, 2022.

Roger was born on August 7th, 1974 in Welch, WV to the late Guy Houston Compton and the late Beulah Lambert Compton.He adamantly supported West Virginia.Roger was a lifelong resident of McDowell and Mercer Counties.He loved football -- his favorite teams were the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.Roger was dedicated to his wife, children, other family members, and the Lord.

Roger is predeceased by his loving parents and his fond siblings: Eugene Smith and Bertha Brooks.

Roger is survived by the love of his life, devoted wife Barbara Jean Compton; beloved children: Kelsey Allen, Alexis Nelson, and Samuel Nelson; cherished granddaughter Emberly Joy; dear siblings: Ralph Smith, Jared Shumate, and Claricy Kim Hurt; best furry friend, Rebel; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, February 9th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV24740.A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.Interment Hurt-Mullins Family Cemetery in Hemphill, WV.
