Robert Wayne Goodson, age 75, of Princeton, West Virginia, concluded his battle with Alzheimer's disease on December 29th, 2021.Surrounded by his loving family, Wayne passed away peacefully at the Rockin' Chair in Lerona, WV.

Wayne and his father-in-law, Ed Sawyers, owned and operated the Big Four Exxon station in Kimball, WV for 54 years.Upon retiring, Wayne worked for Kroger's of Princeton for five years.Through his many years of service to the McDowell and Mercer County communities, Wayne made countless friends and acquaintances.He will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Wayne is predeceased by his parents: Warren Goodson and Gertrude Goodson of Kimball, WV; and dear siblings: Carrie Albert of Dayton, Ohio; Evelyn Condo of Bridgerton, NJ; JoAnn Clouse of Grand Lakes, MI; Nickie Goodson of Martinsville, VA; and Lee Goodson of Kimball, WV.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Darlene Goodson; beloved sons:Ed (Dawna) Goodson of Peytona, WV and Scott Goodson of Crab Orchard, WV; adored grandchildren:Lacey and Ashton of Crab Orchard, WV; fond sister, Patty Patrick of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service, officiated by Pastor Dan Jividen, on Monday, January 3rd at 1:00 PM at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV24740.Please assemble at the Sermon on the Mount Garden.
