Mr. Robert Luther Friese, Sr. 87 of Booneville, NC formerly of Princeton, went to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday November 10, 2019.He was born April 15, 1932 in Filbert, WV to the late Scott Friese and Martha Jane Bingham Myers.Robert Served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.He was a coal miner for 42 years and was a member of the UMWA.After his retirement, he worked on his farm in Princeton, WV.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Hoback Friese, a son, Robert L. Friese, Jr., a granddaughter Allison Oliver Short, a son-in-law Joey Oliver, and a sister Retha Harman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Sharon Friese Oliver of Knoxville, TN, a son David Friese and wife Karen of Booneville, NC a granddaughter Jennifer Oliver Shelton and husband Tim of Knoxville, TN three great grandchildren Lydia Grace, Eli and Caleb Shelton all of Knoxville, TN.

A Celebration of Robert's life will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday November 13, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with Pastors Roney and Kathryn Marrs officiating.Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral Home.
