"Tiny" Coleman
January 18, 1957 – February 22, 2022
Raymond "Tiny" Kenneth Coleman, Jr., age 65, of Montevallo, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 22nd, 2022.
Tiny was born on January 18, 1957 in Pineville, West Virginia to the late Raymond K. Coleman, Sr. and the late France J. Goins Coleman.He graduated from Welch High School in Welch, WV, and earned an Associate's Degree in Industrial Safety from Warren National College.Tiny was a fourth generation coal miner.He conducted mine safety and mine rescue instruction for 35 years.Tiny was also an EMT and EMT instructor, and worked as a Surface and Underground Mine Foreman in both West Virginia and Alabama.He was currently employed at Crimson Oak Grove Mining, working in the Safety Department.Tiny loved spending time with his family and his dog Bear, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley.
Tiny is predeceased by his parents; grandparents: Harvey & Viennie Goins andWalter & Grace Coleman; one son, Douglas Coleman; and his brother: Harrison Ty Coleman.
Tiny is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Patricia Tessner Coleman; beloved sons: Shawn Coleman of Beckley, WV and Nicholas (Ivy) Coleman of St. Albans, WV; cherished grandchildren: Cody Tincher of Beckley, WV and Nathaniel & Adrionna Coleman of St. Albans, WV; dear brother-in-law: Douglas (Sonya) Tessner of Wertz, WV; special friends: Eddie and Toshia Pritt of Pelham, AL; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, February 28th at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV24740.A Graveside Service, in the Garden of Devotion, will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
