Phyllis Ann Nipper, age 74, of Springville, Virginia, passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband at their home on December 22nd, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Phyllis was a Respiratory Therapist.She channeled her empathy, passion, and care for others into her work at St. Luke's Hospital.Phyllis loved spending time with her family and friends.She was best known for her bright, energetic personality, as well as her ability to sense when those around her were in need of help in any way.Phyllis touched countless lives with her generous spirit and caring, kind nature.

Phyllis is predeceased by her loving parents, William Sayers and Elizabeth Groseclose Sayers; adored son, Matthew Nipper; and dear brother, Bill Sayers.

Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband, John Nipper; cherished and special daughter, Angelina Farris; devoted grandsons: Hunter Stroupe and Levi Stroupe; fond siblings: Ray Sayers, Jerry Sayers, Cathy Sayers, and Janet Hylton; dedicated caretaker and close friend: Barbara Sue Lasala; treasured friend: Bobbi Sparks; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

To honor her wishes, the family shall not hold a memorial service.
