Philip Allen Lusk, age 76 of Princeton, WV died at home after a long illness with his wife, Cyndi Lusk and his family by his side. Born, October 24, 1947 in Mullens, WV, he was a son of the late Philip Lusk and Gracie McKinney Lusk. Philip was a graduate of Herndon High School in 1966. He worked as a foreman in the coal mines for Eastern Associated Coal Company and retired from Peabody Coal. Philip loved his wife of 17 years, Cyndi and he will be sadly missed by her. He loved to hunt, tinker on old cars and mow the yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelma Servert and his brother, Eddie Lusk. He was the father of two children; John Lusk and wife, Elizabeth Lusk of Princeton, WV and Angie Lusk Compton and husband, Woody Compton of Princeton, WV; one stepson, Shawn Baker and wife, JoAnn Baker of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Philip Devin Lusk and wife ,Diana Lusk of Fort Liberty, NC, Sallie Grace Lusk and fiancé Corey Hager of Princeton, WV; one step granddaughter, Selena Baker and companion, Jake Endicott of Huntington, WV; one great granddaughter, Margot Lusk and one step great granddaughter, Luna Endicott; his faithful cats, Morti, Kitty Kitty, and Callie; four siblings, Sharon, Janie, Donna, and Frances.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver Melissa Bowman, Wendy Wellman liaison for hospice, and a host of hospice nurses. Per his request, there will be no services for the public; private services will be held for family at Resthaven Memorial Park.
