Obituary

Paul Hamm passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2025, surrounded by love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Born July 9, 1951 in Tazewell, Virginia he was a son of the late Wells Hamm and Ethel Hamm. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Hamm and Doug Hamm of Boissevain, Virginia; his sister, Mary Redmond of Van, Texas; and his lifelong best friend, Steve Brewster of Falls Mills, Virginia.

From an early age, Paul was known for his strength, loyalty, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He carried himself with quiet determination and a genuine heart, always willing to help others and stand by the people he cared about. Paul had a strong sense of character and a presence that put people at ease. His stories, laughter, and wisdom will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Paul especially loved visiting and enjoying time in Hawaii, a place that brought him great joy.

Above all, Paul valued family, friendship, and living life with integrity. His life was not measured by the years he lived, but by the love he gave and the lives he touched.

Paul is survived by his lifelong friend, Carol Hamm of Ocala, Florida; his brother, Roger Hamm of Boissevain, Virginia; and his sister, Sue Hamm-Smith of Mason, West Virginia.

He is also survived by his children: Nancy Livingston of Ocala, Florida; Jeff Livingston of Ocala, Florida; Pamela Addair and her husband Robbie Addair of Princeton, West Virginia; Sherry Harrison of Ocala, Florida; and Kathleen Miller of Vienna, Virginia.

He is further survived by his grandchildren: Jeffery Paul Livingston and his wife Rebekah Livingston of Ocala, Florida; Madison Addair of Princeton, West Virginia; Josh Addair and his wife Maranda Addair of Rural Hall, North Carolina; and Megan Akers and her husband JR Akers of Princeton, West Virginia.

Paul was blessed with great-grandchildren Ethan Barrett of Welch, West Virginia; Colter Addair and Eloise Addair of Rural Hall, North Carolina; and Sofie Dream Livingston of Ocala, Florida, lovingly known as "Tutti-Frutti."

Paul will forever be remembered for his laugh, his humor, the love he gave, the family he built, and the legacy he leaves behind.

The family of Mr. Hamm will have a private family visitation from 12:00PM-1:00PM Thursday, January 8, 2025 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until the service hour with Pastor John Muncy officiating.
