IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Thomason
March 17, 1943 – March 18, 2024
Patricia "Patty" Ann Thomason flew away to her Heavenly home on March 18th, 2024 from her home in Glenwood, WV. Patty was born on March 17, 1943, in Princeton, West Virginia, to the late Anne and Raymond Walker. She grew up in Bland County Virginia where her family owned and operated the Brushy Mountain Motel & Restaurant. She was a proud Bland High School Rocket and graduated in 1960. She continued her education at Radford University, formally known as Women's division of Virginia Polytechnic University, where she became a medical technologist.
Known to her loved ones as Grandma, she was a devoted Christian who shared 56 years of marriage with the love of her life, Gerald Thomason. Their marriage was an example to all of what unconditional love looks like. Patty was a remarkable mother and a cherished matriarch to her children and grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her.
In her heavenly home, Patty is reunited with her parents; brothers, Kenneth Walker, Darrel Walker (infant), and Gary Walker; sister, Jeraldine Morehead; nephews, Mark Morehead and Jamie Morehead; and granddaughter Savannah Thomason.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald (Jerry) Thomason; children, Patrick Shaun Thomason, Anndolyn Coleman and son-in-law, Daniel, Jarrett Blake Thomason and daughter-in-law, Terri; sister, Deborah Matthews; five grandchildren, Veandala Bailey, Danaylla Coleman, Seth Thomason, Noah Thomason, and Victoria Thomason, along with her great-grandchildren, Atlanta, James, Bryar, Ellis, and Lilah.
Patty's legacy of love, faith, and devotion will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services beginning at 11:00AM with Pastor Brinkley. Graveside services will immediately follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
