Norma T. Meadows, 98, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on January 23, 2021, at Princeton Community Hospital. She was born to Rev. Talmage Watterson and Rosalee Smith in Norton, Virginia, on April 23, 1922. Her mother, Rosalee, passed away when she was 8 years old. She later moved to Pocahontas, Virginia, with her family. She married the late George Meadows and they moved to Bluefield, West Virginia where they raised 18 children together. She attended the United Holiness Church in Bluefield where her father served as pastor. Norma was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid doll collector, loved shopping at flea markets, and enjoyed watching sports. Norma was the last surviving Watterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Talmage Meadows, William Rudy Meadows, Leon Meadows, Carolyn (Hurt) Manns, NormaJean Brown, Ronnie Meadows and Charles Meadows. She is survived by Georgie Thomas (PA), Joseph Meadows (VA), MaryJane Kate Robinson (LA), Charlene Casteluzzo (OK), Darlene Meadows (OK), Jerome Meadows (NJ), David Meadows (OK), Michelle Jordan (OK), Michael Meadows (OK) and Trina Meadows (WV). She also raised her granddaughter, Angela Keene of Roanoke, VA. Norma had 66 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Todd Smith and all PCH staff. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton with Minister Shirley Wimmer, Bishop Fred Brown and Elder Timothy Schofield officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
