Mary Maxine Breeden Johnson, 75, of Anawalt, WV went home to be with her Lord and savoir on January 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on March 5, 1947 to the late James and Agnes Breeden. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Breeden; brother-in law, Howard Mitchell, Sr; and nephew, Howard Mitchell, Jr.
Mary was a loving housewife and mother. Mary loved to cook and spending quality time with her family. She always ensured that her family was well taken care of. She also sold Avon for 21 years.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband of 57 years, Richard Johnson; sons: Darryl (Nancy) Johnson of Taylorsville, NC and Jim (Mary) Johnson of Hickory, NC; sister, Patsy Mitchell of Taylorsville, NC; grandchildren: Jessica Johnson, Keri Dalton, Ricky Johnson, and Carlos Steffey; nieces: Samantha Shoun and Jenny Johnson; nephew, Chris Mitchell, and a host of relatives and friends. The family wishes to express a special thank you to cousins Judy and Teresa Farmer and niece, Samantha Shoun.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Rev. James Coe officiating.
