Mark Alan Welch, affectionately known as “Cooter” of Pipestem, WV passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at his home. Born July 20, 1961, he was a son of the late Willie Welch and Betty Sines Welch. Mark, aka "Cooter" was truly one of a kind and known for his get-the job-done approach. He will be missed by all who knew him. Mark also loved to cook and grill, many of his friends and family were fortunate enough to reap the benefits over the years. Throughout his 17 years with Conn-Weld, Mark's dedication and hard work served the company and customers well. Mark took great pride in his work. More importantly, he was a part of the Conn-Weld family, and his absence will certainly be felt. Mark was a dedicated husband, a loving father, and adored his grandbabies more than anything. In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by one brother, Timmy Welch.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lisa Welch; daughters, Amanda Welch, Camryn Garrett and husband Chase; brothers, Jerry Welch and significant other, Brenda Stout, and Christopher Welch and wife Jennifer; grandbabies, Alysha Welch and Ashlyn Welch-Ortiz and a host of nieces and nephews. Mark was very close to his family and was the glue that held them all together. He will be forever missed by them all.

The family will receive friends at Roselawn Funeral Home Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 12:00PM-1:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM with committal services immediately following at Monte Vista Park Cemetery.
