Lois Evelyn Hicks, age 94, of Airport Road passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Born February 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Russell Paul Kelley and Pauline B. Stump Kelley. Lois retired from GTE as a telephone operator. She also enjoyed planting flowers, crocheting, and traveling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband and father to her children, Clarence W. Hicks; two brothers, Gene Kelley and Jack Kelley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Larry Hicks and wife Naomi, Steve Hicks and wife, Angela; and one daughter, Gayle Mastrandrea and husband, John. A sister, Anne Keyes; five grandchildren, Robert A. Hicks and wife, Jessica, Michelle Johnson and husband, Russell, Kelly Oakes and husband, Reed, Carolyn Martin and husband, Matt, Jordan Williams and wife Brooke; great grandchildren, Robbie Hicks II and wife, Jadlyn, Dylan and Gabi Johnson, Kaden Oakes-Rotenberry, Taylor Rotenberry, Noah Martin, Dylan Phillips, and Brayden McDonald; great great grandchildren, Ella Hicks.

The family will receive friends at Brushfork Baptist Church (2510 Old Bramwell Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701) Friday, July 26, 2024, beginning at 1:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM with Pastor Wes Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00PM on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
