It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lisa Lynn Hare Hobbs (59) of Princeton, W.Va. Lisa went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2026 after a brief illness.

Lisa was the fifth of six children born to Jack Neely Hare and Janice Brown Hare of Bluefield. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a lovIng mother to three sons, Ricky Blackburn (Jenny ), Keith Blackburn (Jackie), and James Blackburn.Lisa was a loving sister to Jackie Richardson (Mike), Dorothy Hare Holmes (Curt), Georgia Hare Meadows, Bobby Hare, and Beth Hare Bizzell. She is also survived by grandchildren Bradley, Kaiden,Adalyn, Brooklyn, Mac, and McKenzie, along with several nieces and nephews.

Lisa and her siblings grew up in Bluefield and she spent a short time of her childhood in North Carolina, during which she developed many lifelong friendships. Lisa was one of those “Hare girls” with a vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and radiant smile. If you knew Lisa, you loved her. If you knew Lisa, you also knew where she stood on important issues of the day because she’d tell you! Lisa cared deeply for others and was generous to those she encountered. She was a true Mountaineer. Like the state she loved, Lisa was Wild and Wonderful! 

A memorial service for Lisa will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton, WV on Friday August 21, 2026 at 2:00pm.
