Obituary

On February 13, 2026, Linda L. Walker was wrapped in the arms of the Angels and carried to Heaven to receive her heavenly wings.

Linda was born to the late Albert and Beulah (Gravely) Barber January 30, 1948. Linda met and married the love of her life in 1967, Gary L. Walker. They were married for 59 1/2 years. Linda dedicated her life to serving God and was a faithful member of the Brushfork First Church of God. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and was known as one of the best secretaries with McDowell County Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Melvin Barber and Larry Barber.

Those left to cherish her memory include the love of her life, Gary Walker; her only son, her world, Brian (Beverly) Walker; four grandchildren, Krystal (Mike) Ford, Cody (Kim) Walker, Tiffany (Tim) Erb, Daniel Walker; six great grandchildren, Brooklyn Ford, Michael Ford, Haleigh Walker, Ryleigh Walker, Abby Erb, Thomas Erb; and special lifelong friends, Brenda Owens and Joann Lusk.

Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, West Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the Reverend Samuel Chaffins officiating, and Reverend Jared Mitchell presenting the eulogy. Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Michael P. Ford, Michael B. Ford, Daniel Walker, Cody Walker, Melvin Barber Jr., and Lamont Barber will serve as pallbearers.
