Jerry W. Smith, aged 76, of Princeton, WV, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Piedmont, WV. He was the son of the late Chester and Helen Smith.

Jerry proudly served in the Vietnam War. He worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 28 years. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Chester Smith, mother Helen, and his granddaughter Mackenzie Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Smith; daughters Melissa (Ricky) Johnson of Princeton, WV, and Christi (Ricky) Dye of North Tazewell, VA; granddaughters Alexis Lawson, Brittany Johnson, and Jillian Hemminger; brothers Larry (Carol) Smith of Gastonia, NC, Ronnie (Judy) Smith of Rocky Gap, VA; nieces Teresa Bell, and Karen Ratliff; and nephew Kenneth Smith.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services scheduled at this time.

His spirit and memory will forever be in our hearts.
