Janna Gee (Haggy) Runyon, 77, of Hurricane, W.Va. passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1947, in Panther, W. Va., to parents Jerome and Lydia Haggy. She lived the majority of her life in Welch, W.Va.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Cecil Runyon; daughter, Pam (Keith) Dalton; son, C.J. Runyon; grandson, Joshua (Savanna) Dalton; the much anticipated arrival of her great granddaughter, Melody (due in April); sister, Wilda Hatfield; brother, Edward (Linda) Haggy; and several nieces and nephews. Janna is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Imogene Haggy and Phyllis Miles.

Janna was a devoted wife and mother who cared deeply for her family. She modeled actions that represented values of faith, kindness, generosity, and hard work. She taught her children the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a prayer warrior for her friends and family. She was a long-time member of Carswell Community Church. She enjoyed singing in church and on local Christian radio with her family.

She retired after a 45-year career with MCNB Banks as Vice President and Operations Officer. Her care for others was demonstrated in the workplace as she mentored and served as an inspiration for other female co-workers.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on December 16, 2024, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, W. Va., with Pastor Kent Estep officiating. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, W. Va.
