IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Mainard
Meachum
May 5, 1977 – August 14, 2025
James "Jimmy" Mainard Meachum, aged 48, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away on August 14, 2025. He was born on May 5, 1977, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to David H. Meachum and Sharon K. Meachum (Hale). James remained a local his entire life. He was one of three brothers, who were always causing mischief when they were younger. He was employed as a truck driver, and a logger, for many years. James liked to hunt, and he loved motorcycles, but his passion was woodworking. He made shelves, cabinets, wagon wheels, and many other things with his wood lathe. James also crafted things out of resin. He was very talented and creative, but most of all, he was a free spirit, and a wild child at heart. He had an eclectic taste in music, and his daughter remembers "Paradise City," by Guns N' Roses, vividly, when she was little. He was loving, thoughtful, and kind, and he had a big heart; he was never afraid to step in if he felt someone was being bullied.
James is preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Marie Hale, Walter and Virginia Meachum.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sharon K. Meachum, and father, David H. Meachum; daughter, LeAndra Meachum, and granddaughter, Ava; son, Caelum Meachum; and brothers, John (Melanie) Meachum and David (Vanessa) Meachum.
The family will have a small, private memorial service on their farm at a later date.
