Obituary

The world grew a little quieter on June 3, 2026, when Glennys Davis ("Ma Ma") left us, to enter her heavenly home after a life defined by love, generosity, and the kind of presence that made others feel at home. A devoted Christian woman, she lived her faith, daily, and now rests in the presence of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who passed before her.

To know Glennys was to be welcomed - into a story, into a laugh, into a moment that felt warmer because she was in it. She had a gift for noticing people, for offering kindness without being asked, and for finding joy in the small, ordinary things that make a life meaningful. She was a faithful servant of God who exemplified Christian values through her love, kindness, and generosity.

Born December 2, 1943, in Trinidad, Colorado, Glennys carried her roots with her wherever she went. (Even if that meant taking a small piece of a flower that didn't belong to her, and planting it at home, lol.) She built a life filled with purpose, pouring her heart into helping others, gardening, crafting, painting, and sharing her time and talents freely with those around her. (As long as her hair and makeup were done first.) Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched - in the lessons she taught, the comfort she gave, and the memories she leaves behind. Many of those memories include her trusty wooden spoon, which somehow had the magical ability to restore good behavior from across the room. Family members still joke that just seeing her reach for it was often punishment enough.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Delbridge and Eleanor Courtney; her husband James "Ray" Davis; her sons, Frederick "Freddie" Nady and Charles "Brenden" Davis; her grandson, Roger "Rocky" Wilson; and her sister, Edith Martin.

Glennys is survived by her children, Ralph Nady (Robin), John Nady (Debbie), Glennys "Sissy" Legg, James "Bo" Nady (Kim), Gina Lilly (Jeff), Amanda Davis (Brandon), Ashley Jones (Justin), Christy Wheeler, and Ginger Davis; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a brother, James "Jim" Delbridge (Donna); a "sister," Naoma Miraglia; a really close family friend, Gina McCord; niece, Karen Collins; nephews, James and Mark Delbridge; and the Hamilton's who will forever hold her stories close. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her unwavering love will continue to echo in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know her.

A gathering to honor and celebrate Glennys's life will be held on June 13, 2026, at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Tom Fife and Pastor Eric Snuffer will officiate.

In keeping with Glennys's generous spirit, the family invites memorial contributions to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, in appreciation for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided to Glennys and her family over the past three years. A special thanks for the extraordinary care from Lindsay, Randi, Kayla, Jessi, Deion, and Sandy.
