George Leonard Osborne Jr. age 87 of Bluefield, WV passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born January 23, 1935, in Hemphill, WV he was a son of the late George Leonard Osborne Sr. and Gladys Short Osborne. George was in the United States Marine Corp and honorably served in the Korean war and two tours in the Vietnam war. He was also in the United States Naval Construction Battalion, also known as, Navy Seabees. He worked in construction for many years and enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, electronics, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Osborne, David Osborne, and Danny Osborne. George is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Ann Sadler Osborne; three sons, Kenneth Osborne, Darryl Osborne and Kevin Osborne; two sisters, Margaret Barbour and Sue Morgan; six grandchildren, Stacia Halley, Jake Osborne, Collin Osborne, Taylor Osborne, Dylan Osborne, and Lauren Coyne; two great grandchildren, Sierra Halley, and Remi Johansen. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV where graveside services will be conducted immediately following the visitation in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
