Gene B. James, 59 of Bluefield, WV passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born October 23, 1963 in Columbus, OH he was a son of the late Robert James and Hattie Dyer. Gene was a good father to his children, and a loving brother and uncle. He had a long career as an electrician and a contractor leaving a lasting impression on those he worked with. Gene was know for being skilled in these areas. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He cherished every moment and created lasting memories with his loved ones. Gene found Joy in the simple pleasures of life and finding solace in the company of his family and friends.

Gene will be deeply missed by his surviving family members including his sisters, Elizabeth Redden of WV, Tina Griffith (John) of WV, Kerren Richey (Chuck) Of OH, and Tammy Asbury of WV; brothers, Terry James (Sunny) of OH, Robert James (Marlene) of NC, Alan James (Sylvia) of FL; daughter, Airanne Sizemore of OH; son, Dylan Justice of WV; stepdaughters, Samantha McKinney Cantrell (Timmy) of WV, Andrea McKinney (Jason Puckett) of WV; grandsons, Billy Sizemore, Gaven McKinney, and Bryson Cantrell; granddaughter, Jerzie Meadows and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Denver Dyer; grandson Gabriel Meadows; and niece, Amber Sweeney.

A memorial service will be held at Peaceful Valley Church (362 Cornbread Ridge Rd, Princeton, WV, 24740) where family and friends can gather on September 2, 2023 at 2PM to honor and celebrate Gene's life.

Gene will be remembered for his love, dedication, and the impact he made on the lives of those around him. May his soul find eternal peace.
