Eugene "Gene" G. Arnold, 95, of Princeton, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 following an extended illness. He was born in McDowell County, WV to the late Elbert and Frances Grubb Arnold. Gene served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Gene was employed and retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, WV. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, especially growing his tomatoes and playing with his loving pet and best friend, Frankie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Justice Arnold and one sister, Arlee.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Dale Arnold and wife Barbara of Myrtle Beach, SC and two daughters, Lynn Stowers of Princeton and Danita Bell and husband David of Morgantown, WV, as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Gene's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2020 in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton with Reverend Mike Franks officiating.Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:30AM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
