Obituary

Dora Elizabeth Taylor, 77 of Bluefield, passed away Wednesday January 8, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center following a long illness. Born June 2, 1942, she was daughter of the late Ted and Ethel Mitchem Taylor of Matoaka.Miss Taylor graduated from Matoaka High School. She retired from Glenwood Retirement Center after 35 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted Jr., John W. Taylor Sr. and David E. Taylor Sr. of Lashmeet and nephew Jeffrey Taylor of Matoaka.
Survivors include her brother Billy Taylor and wife Judy from Matoaka, a niece Michelle Dillion and husband Richard of Bluefield WW, nephew David E. Taylor Jr. and wife Cindy of Lashmeet, nephew John W. Taylor Jr. of Princeton, great nieces Marinda Lusk of Princeton, and Amy Boyd of Lashmeet, two great nephews Greg Boyd and Jason Boyd both of Lashmeet,sisters-in-laws Vanessa Taylor of Princeton and Rhonda Taylor of Lashmeet,twelve great-great nieces and nephews.
Dora was a sweet loving aunt who acted as a mother figure to many. She will be missed by her family and they will cherish all of the memories they shared together.
In honor of Miss Taylor's request she will be cremated, and there will be no services.
