Donald K. Phillips, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2021.
Donald had a passion for coal mining.He began in the industry in 1978.Through much hard work and perseverance, he attained numerous promotions.In 2002, Donald began his work in the Safety Division.Donald rose to the position of Ventilation Supervisor in the Mine Safety and Health Administration Department (MSHA).Donald's continued pursuit of excellence earned him the high esteem, respect, and admiration of all of his co-workers.
Donald was a dedicated family man.He loved working on the farm, riding motorcycles, riding his tractor, playing with his grandchildren, and attending large family gatherings.
Donald is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Effie (Isom) Phillips, and siblings Luther Phillips and Brenda Kay Phillips.
Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Mavis Phillips; beloved children: David (Toni) Phillips and Anita (Jason) Whittaker; adored grandchildren: Case, Crew, Cole, Austyn, Logan, Lydia, Lucas, and Taylor; fond siblings: Ann Phillips, Barbara Crabtree, Betty Davis, Patty England, Kathy Dillon, Connie Howerton, and Bill Phillips; special niece, Heather Muncy; and many other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 9th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV24740.A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Sherman Duncan and Brother Ravin Fields, will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.Entombment Roselawn Cemetery.
