David Wesley Lawless, 64 of Princeton, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020 following an illness. David was born on September 17, 1956 in McDowell County, WV to the late Phillip Lawless and Pearl Dove Lawless. David attended Princeton High School and received a scholarship for tennis to Bluefield State College where he received a degree in Business and was inducted to the Tennis Hall of Fame. David went to further his education at Bluefield College obtaining a master's degree in Business Administration. David began a career at AEP and has been a loyal employee for 40+ years. David was a lover of sports and his favorite teams included the WVU Mountaineers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and the Cincinnati Reds. He loved to play his guitar and wrote some of his own music.
Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Jimmy Lawless and wife Violet, Michael Lawless and wife Jane, two sisters, Margaret McCormick, and Deborah Lawless, two sister in laws, Lois Lawless and Helen Lawless, two special cousins, Barbara Scott and Rusty Kitts. David is also survived by a host of precious nieces' nephews and cousins.
Due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding COVID-19 the family will have a private celebration of David's life at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
