David Gene Adams, of Roanoke County, departed his earthly home for his heavenly home surrounded by family on Saturday September 28th, 2024. He was born February 15, 1942. David was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Mamie Adams; sisters, Eva Robinson, Peggy Kegley, June Harris, Darnell Cowan, and bother Howard Adams.

David is survived by his wife of many years, Betty Buckner Adams; daughter, Kimberly Nichols; son, David Gene Adams II, wife Michelle Adams; grandchildren, Anthony (Cody) Nichols, David Gene Adams III, Haylie Adams, and many nieces and nephews.

David was born and raised in McDowell County, WV. He spent his summers with his sister in Rocky Mount and Roanoke VA. David was known for being a kind and loving family man. He enjoyed traveling, remodeling old houses, cooking and having everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner. He displayed an unwavering faith in God and love for his Church and Church Family. He was a member of Penn Forest Worship Center (PFWC) at 3735 Chaparral Dr. Roanoke VA 24018. Services for David will be held at PFWC on October 19, 2024, with visitation beginning at 3:30 PM and a Funeral Service following at 4:00 PM. Pastor Myron Atkinson presiding.
