Curtis Howard Vint, 74, of Lerona, WV, passed from this life May 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home after a short illness. He was born in Wharton, WV, on April 26,1946, and was the son of the late Howard Roger and Sylvia Paynter Vint of Wharton WV. Curtis served in the United States Army in Vietnam and was stationed in both Korea and Germany.He retired from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer II after serving 20 years for his country.He was a longtime volunteer with the Princeton Vet Center as a Benefits Officer.Curtis also enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping in the West Virginia Mountains and working on his small farm in Lerona.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Vint, and one sister, Diana Peters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Leona "Fay" Vint.Two daughters, Monica V. Fleming of Green Bank WV and Juliann H. Blevins and husband Brian of Roanoke VA and a grandchild, Madalaine E. Fleming of Green Bank WV. His four brothers, PeeWee (Roger Dale) Vint and wife Ruth of Wharton, WV, Michael Vint of Danville WV, Randall Vint and wife Sherie of Gig Harbor, Washington and Scotty Vint and wife Sandy of Wharton, WV, four sisters, Donna Vint Dillon and husband Larry of Hurricane, WV, Cynthia "Kay" Vance and husband Paul of Wharton, WV, Sharon White and husband Larry of Wharton, WV, and Deborah (Debbie) Sansom and husband Willard of Kannapolis, NC, and a many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Curtis's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30th, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV, with Pastor James Kestner officiating. Entombment will follow at the Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
The Family will be receiving friends and guests Friday evening, May 29, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV
