IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Claudette Marie
Lotts
September 26, 1962 – November 22, 2025
Claudette "Marie" Lotts, 63, of Bluefield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Marie, as everyone called her, was preceded in death by her father, Claude Adkins; brother Freddie Adkins; sister-in-law Carolyn Adkins; brother-in-law Keith Honaker; nephew Landon Sayers; and favorite aunt, Lois.
In addition to her mother, Cora Lee Adkins, Marie is survived by her children, Amanda Meadors, Nicole Akers and husband David, and Christy Cunningham; brother, Teddy Adkins and wife, Melva; sisters, Susan Honaker and Maggie Ann Doggett. Grandmother and special "Nana" to Austin and Christian Meadors, Anthony Rozzell, Mikah Sayers, Ava Honaker, and Roman and Brody Snellings.
Marie's health began declining a year ago, and in that time she had two caregivers who quickly became her close friends: Jackie Tint and Terri White.
Marie loved the Lord and loved to watch Charles Stanley every Sunday; She would record his sermons and watch them throughout the week.
Some of the things her family and friends will remember most about her are what a good cook she was. Her meals were always delicious, and her passion to feed not only family, but others in her apartment building made her love of Christ evident. She would always make containers of food to send out to other apartments of people that she knew were disabled and had a hard time making food for themselves.
Another memory that everyone will remember about Marie is how she would "tell it like it is," whether you liked it or not. She didn't sugarcoat any conversation. She was a realist for sure. Susan says no one talked back to her because everyone was a little scared of her, but wouldn't admit it.
Although Marie could be firm, she would still open her door to anyone who needed a roof over their head, whether their spouse kicked them out or they had gotten in trouble, when everyone else would say no, she would say yes. You never left her home without her saying, "Wear your seatbelt."
Marie will be missed, but the wonderful memories she leaves behind will live in our hearts forever.
