It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected  passing of our cherished, Brandy Dawn Cox, on November 19, 2024. She will be remembered  by the love she had for her children,  family,  and animals. We can never forget her fearlessness,  bravery,  and willingness to take risks.  Brandy had a tremendous love for adventure and her resilience to overcome many obstacles can never be forgotten.

Brandy was born June 26,1989 in Bluefield, WV to Dewey Kee Howerton Jr. and Carol Cox Pendergrass.

Brandy is survived by her children,  Mercedes and Lexus Schofield of Golden Valley, Arizona and Levi Pendergrass, of Matoaka, WV.

She is survived by her parents, father Dewey Howerton Jr. and wife, Laura of Brushfork, WV, her mother, Carol Pendergrass and spouse, Duane of Matoaka, WV. Survived by brothers, Danny Howerton and spouse, Holly of Lebanon MO, Rodney Pendergrass and spouse, Kayla of Greenvalley, WV and Duane Beck Jr. of Matoaka, WV.  Surviving sisters include Christy Meade and spouse, Amanda of Knoxville TN, Terah Poff of Lashmeet, WV, and Kyleigh Pendergrass of Matoaka, WV. Left to cherish her memory are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.

Brandy was proceeded in death by her brother, Derek Lee Cox.

A celebration of Brandy's life/ memorial will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton, WV.
