Birdie Milam Beavers, 93 of Maitland, WV passed away on May 2, 2020 at McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on March 16, 1927, Birdie was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Virgie Green Milam. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hobert Jackson "Jack" Beavers, one brother, Everett Lee Milam, and two sisters, Mamie Milam Rushbrook and Nina Milam Tierce.
Birdie enjoyed working with people and serving her Lord. She gave her heart and life to God and took great pride in teaching Sunday School and singing for the church. Birdie worked countless hours for the McDowell County Clerks Office and Solins and Walls Law Firm.
Those left to cherish her memory are her only child, Anthony Jackson "Tony Jack" Beavers and wife, Chong, of San Antonio, TX, two grandchildren, Tony Jack Beavers of Denton, TX, and Heather Beavers of Austin, TX and three very special nieces, Carolyn Sue Rushbrook and husband Gary of Bristol, PA, Harriet Rushbrook Beswick of Bristol, PA, and Brenda Tierce Brown of Haven, FL.
Birdie made her home at the McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the family would like to extend their gratitude for the care they provided.
In honor of Birdie's wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Birdie's life will be scheduled for a later date.
