IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy "Denver"
Collins
December 2, 1947 – September 18, 2024
Billy "Denver" Collins, 76 of Princeton, WV passed away September 18, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born December 2, 1947 he was a son of the late Grayson Noah Collins, and Bernice Margaret Cline Collins. Denver was of the Christian faith. For approximately four years, Denver worked in Chicago until he moved back to his home state of WV and began working as a coal miner for US Steele where he stayed until his retirement. Denver was an avid NASCAR fan, and he loved all things that were outdoors. He truly enjoyed hunting, but his favorite was pastime was fishing. Denver was a kind soul who would do anything to help anyone. He had a beautiful heart that would allow him to be kind no matter the situation; a trait that shines through his daughters every day. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one baby girl, Kathy Ann Collins; two brothers; Thomas Grayson Collins and Leonard Dean Collins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Janice "Faye" Collins. Denver and Faye knew each other from a very young age and always knew that they were going to end up spending their lives together. They went in different directions for a short time as they were growing up, and as they believed, once they crossed paths in the future, they married and raised a beautiful family together; two daughters who dedicated the last several years helping their mother love and care for their father, Donna Collins and Farrah Fain; one brother, Clinton Collins and fiancé Drema Day; three sisters, Kathy Bailey and companion, Donald Cline, Patti Collins and fiancé, Anthony Page, Pam Ratliff and husband, Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends at Roselawn Funeral Home, Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 12:00PM-1PM with funeral services taking place at 1:00PM. Burial will immediately follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
