IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty J.
Wilson
July 15, 1945 – January 19, 2023
Betty Jo (Bailey) Wilson, 77, of Princeton entered the presence of the Lord on January 19, 2023. Born in Keystone, WV to parents Elmer and Louie Bailey in 1945, she graduated from Northfork High School in 1963. She also graduated from Bluefield State College and worked for McDowell County Schools as a special education teacher until her retirement. She loved her students and teaching. Betty was a member of Harbour Light Baptist Church in Princeton. She was known for her smile, laughter, love of banana pudding, and singing. When a stroke removed most of her ability to speak, she continued to sing hymns. She loved to travel and many great memories were made on the road with her.
Betty was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Trish Clark of Wytheville, VA and Louise and her husband Fred Baldwin of Bluefield, WV; adored grandchildren, Christian Ballard, Lyndsay Clark, Natalee Baldwin, Siarrea and Kindale Abram, and Alyssa Baldwin, and great-grandchild Isabella Abram; brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Betty joins her husband, James Wilson, parents, and sister (Patricia Waid) in the hope of Jesus Christ as the experience what eye has not seen, nor ear has heard what the Lord has prepared for those that love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9).
Visitation with the family will be held at Roselawn Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 5-7 pm with funeral services Thursday, Jan. 26 at 11 am with Pastors Ralph Steele and Robert Lane officiating.
