Betty Gay Stowers Sheets, age 80, of Bastian, VA passed away at her home on Saturday June 20, 2026. Born January 6, 1946 in Clear Fork, VA and raised in Bland County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bernard Stowers and Stella Bea Pruitt Stowers. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers; Richard "Ricky" Stowers and Kenneth Stowers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jimmy Roger Sheets; sons, Patrick Stowers, Michael Keith Sheets, James Sheets; daughter and son in law, Lisa and Terry Beavers; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Beavers and Sydney Stowers; great grandson, Hudson Harman; two sisters, Bernice Childress, Dreama and Ronnie Setzer; three brothers, Charles Martin, Darryl and Patty Stowers, and Casey and Sherri Stowers; brother in law Robert and Billie Sheets; sister in law, Christine and husband Pete Thompson, and several nieces and nephews. Betty loved to garden and plant flowers.

The family will receive friends at Roselawn Funeral home Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM. Graveside services will immediately follow. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
