Barry Lynn Collins Sr. passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. He was born in Princeton, West Virginia, September 25, 1953, and remained local his entire life. Barry was a good, God-fearing man who loved to read his Bible. He was a true mountain man who took pleasure in being out in nature. Barry would spend a lot of time at Camp Creek watching fish swim around in the water. He enjoyed writing stories, drawing, and building things. Barry also liked watching old television shows. Bonanza and Gun Smoke were his favorites. He was also a talker, so he appreciated anyone who was willing to sit and chat with him. Barry relished in the simple life and would help anyone he was able to, no matter what. He was a very generous and kind man who would give you the shirt off his back. Barry was a family-oriented man, a very loving father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beckner Collins, and father, Earnest Earl Collins; His wife of 20 years and the mother to his children, Lisa Ann Collins; twin brother Gary Collins; Ted Collins and David Collins.
Those left to cherish his memory are partner Teresa Copen; His children include Thomas Collins (Amanda); Carla Thomas (Zachary); Barry Jr. (Laken); and Candice Henderson (Michael); His brothers and sisters include Connie Cocus; Jim Collins (Linda); Earl Collins (Alice); and his grandchildren Mercedes, Camaron, Walker, and Carson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Collins family will receive friends for a graveside service at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13th.
