Barbara Bell Anderson, formerly of Princeton, WV passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. Her husband, Everett Gilbert Anderson and other family members were at her side. Barbara was born May 2, 1939 in Arista, WV and moved to Princeton as a young child. She lived the majority of her life in Princeton, before moving to an assisted living facility for a short while and then relocated to the home of a daughter and son-in-law in Mullens, WV.
Barbara spent her life as a homemaker and also served in various capacities at her church. She loved her family tremendously, always putting their needs above hers. She especially loved babies and was always happy when she was holding babies or younger children on her lap. Barbara adored her husband Gilbert of 54 years and together they spent their lives sight-seeing, traveling throughout the United States and visiting family and friends.
Barbara loved her Lord Jesus Christ and was a member, since childhood, of Redeeming Grace Church in Princeton – formerly known as Burke Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Lee Roy Honaker, her parents Howard and Effie Bell, and all six of her siblings.
Barbara is survived by her husband Everett “Gilbert” Anderson, her children Ricky (and Kay) Honaker, Annette (and Rommel) Chaaban, Joe (and Karyln) Honaker, Darla (and Danny) Lesher, and Nancy (and Rodney) Vest. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws Freda Bell and Sue Bell Goodwin, a special nephew Timothy Bell, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 12:00PM-1:00PM at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV. Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM with Pastor Kevin Belcher of Redeeming Grace Church officiating. Graveside services follow immediately after in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
