Anzie Sanders Mitchell of Roanoke, VA, formerly of Princeton, WV died on January 16, 2026.

Born December 16, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Balvaro and Vena Sanders of KY.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Gadley; a son, Larry Mitchell; her husband of 50 years, Arthur Mitchell; three sisters; and four brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Patsey (Frank) of Kingsport, TN, and Geve Lynn Strock (Nicky, Sr.) of Troutville, VA; four grandchildren, Nicky Strock, II, Ann Davis, Erik Strock and Jessica Mitchell; one sister, Imal Kendrick of Pikeville, KY; and eight grandchildren.

She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Iaeger, WV.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00PM with Arble Morgan officiating.
